THE PRESENT EDUCATION SYSTEM IN FRANCE

Taking into account the fact that the improvement of the quality of education in Ukraine is extremely important nowadays, the studying of the best education systems in the world is essential for future implementation of their highlight elements in our country. In this article we decided to study France's education system. One of the reasons was the fact that its education is exceptional, namely, French higher education is one of the oldest in the world, it underwent many upheavals and reforms and, as a result, became unique in its kind. Modern literature concerning education system in France was reviewed. We examined the organization of the education system in France, analyzed the stages of elementary, secondary and higher education, and determined the main features of these stages. Special attention was paid to higher education and its administrative component: requirements for enrolling, tuition fees and implementation of the Bologna process. It was estimated that such an organization of the educational process in France contributes to the development of students' own opinions, teaches them how to make decisions independently regarding desired academic disciplines and future career guidance.
