Abstract
Hypothenar hammer syndrome is an uncommon disease of the ulnar artery caused by chronic repetitive or acute blunt trauma to the ulnar portion of the hand. It characteristically occurs in the dominant hand of middle aged industrial workers. We present the case of a 31 year old housewife with no significant history of trauma who presented with chronic ulnar sided volar wrist pain. She was treated with resection of the involved arterial segment and revascularization by direct anastomosis.
