MISSING PERSONS IN ARMED CONFLICTS: SOME PRACTICAL-LEGAL ASPECTS

History rounds up the number of victims. One thousand and one become one thousand – as if a single victim had never existed. The text presented here is a succinct attempt of analyzing the phenomenon of the missing persons in armed conflicts, and comprises a short historical note, the state of the national legislation concerning this issue and the conformity thereof to the provisions of the norms of international law, as well as the enhancement of the efficiency of the implementation and execution instrument.
