Abstract
In this paper, we present a survey on recent approaches for gait normality assessment based on 3D skeleton. Such methods can be applied or adapted in various applications such as gait analysis in healthcare systems and person identification in surveillance. Some studies working on other input data that can be extracted and/or approximated from 3D skeletal information are also considered in this paper. Their experimental results on a huge benchmark dataset are also provided and analyzed to give useful suggestions for further works of developing realistic health care systems.
