Abstract
Operation of Almatti and Narayanpur complex adopting Standard linear operating policy is causing problems to the Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar reservoirs as no water is being realized in the reservoirs during June ,July and August. Therefore a rule curve is developed at Almatti without effecting the interests of the Almatti and Narayanapur reservoirs. The study indicated that if the levels of +512, +515 and +519.6 are maintained in June, July and August respectively as against FRl of 524.256 there will be some improvement in the performance of downstream reservoirs without effecting much the performance of Almatti complex i.e Almatti and Narayanapur.
