The study consists of an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to identify the salient success measures, followed by a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The final model has 5 items representing competency. The results in this study showed that with the aid of a modification indices, the model fits the data with the value of χ2/df = 1.069; GFI = 0.993; and RMSEA = 0.018. The findings are considered to have made a significant contributing to the literature, by using the Malaysian logisticians which enhances our understanding on the need to understand logistician competency for logistics educational needs.
