Abstract
Management education is a powerful means to mould a student by providing capacity creation and make him an expert in managing the business firms. Unlike other streams of knowledge viz, social sciences and mathematics, the management education has a specific purpose- the purpose of nurturing and nourishing the management skills and make the students equipped with the art of managing varied situations that come across in the business environment.
As businesses function in congruence with society, the future manager is required to learn societal, environmental and cultural milieu in which the firm operates apart from the demands of the conventional stakeholders. An attempt is made in this article to articulate a few suggestions for making management education a relevant tool for business needs of the business firms.
