Dogmatism and its Relationship with Parenting Style among Al –Hussein Bin Talal University Students

Abstract
This study aims at identifying the relationship between the Dogmatism and parenting style among Al-Hussein Bin Talal University students, the study sample consisted of (290) male and female students, who were selected randomly. The participants completed a questionnaire that consisted of two scales: Dogmatism Scale which was prepared particularly for this study and Robbins Scale for parenting style which was developed by Dawood (2016) after merging the father and mother items in one model. The results showed that there was a middle level of Dogmatism among the students of Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. In addition, the results indicated that there was a negative correlation between Dogmatism and Parenting Styles. Finally, the results showed that there were no differences in the relationship between Dogmatism and parenting styles due to the sex, study level, achievement and mother and father education level.
