Abstract
The potential of fishery recources in Indonesia that has been estimated around 6,5 million tonnes per year which is one of driving wheels of the national economic. But, what an ironic that the potential have not been fully utilized for the welfare of people and has been used by the foreigners through IUU fishing activities neither KII and KIA. This study seeks to explain the factors and mode of occurrence of IUU Fishing in Indonesia. Efforts to control IUU fishing is carried out by the Directorate General of Marine Resources and Fisheries Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries through the concept of Monitoring, Control and survaillance (MCS) as well as law enforcement and the impact of IUU Fishing in Indonesian response to the national economic resilience.
