Abstract
Van Wyck Grumbach Syndrome is an uncommon presentation of hypothyroidism with isosexual precocious puberty. Hypothyroidism usually leads to delayed puberty and delayed skeletal maturation. But longstanding untreated hypothyroidism can rarely lead to precocious puberty, a paradoxical association. Here we report a case of 8 years old girl with precocious puberty due to prolonged hypothyroidism who reverted to prepubertal state following hormonal replacement therapy with thyroid hormone. This case is presented here because of its rarity and the symptoms resolve with thyroid hormone replacement if recognized early.
