STRATEGY OF THE SOUTHERN REGION OF UZBEKISTAN

On the basis of theoretical and practical analysis this author provides methodical guidelines for development of a comprehensive strategy for socio-economic development of southern regions on the example of Kashkadarya region. SWOT analysis is made. On its basis the author identified perspective areas of specialization of certain districts to improve their competitiveness. Three-variant forecast of the long-term strategy and its implementation mechanism are presented.
