Abstract
With the development of information technologies and formation of cyberspaces,peer bullying has experienced a transformation. Cyberbullying is the behaviour of any kind of cognitive, emotional, behavioral or sexual harassment that is applied in the relationship through these technologies. Adolescents, who are a critical stage in the development process, are the primary target of these behaviors called cyberbullying. Ability of empathy is seen as a prohibitive for cyberbullying. This study is determined the cyberbullying and cyber-victimization behaviors of 7th and 8th grade students in a private school in Eskisehir. In this research, it is aimed to reveal whether there is a correlation between students' ability of empathy and cyberbullying, cyber-victimization behaviors. It is revealed that there is a significant correlation between cyberbullying and cyber-victimization, and as the empathy decreased cyberbullying behaviour increased.
