Abstract
Fibroadenoma is the most common benign tumor of the breast. It is more common in the adolescence and the young age. Usually they are small in size and show slow growth rate. In rare cases fibroadenomas show rapid and massive growth resulting in giant fibroadenomas which are more than 5cm in size.
We hereby report a case of giant fibroadenoma, which was 12 x 10 cm in dimensions and appeared to be malignant on clinical examination, but proved to be benign on core needle biopsy and finally was treated with simple excision.
