Abstract

Aim. Optimization of admission of patients with somatic and dental pathology detail, which will affect the tactics of patient management at a dental appointment. Materials and Methods. In 2017, we developed a «Health History» questionnaire. Before the initial consultation, the patient filled out a developed questionnaire that includes questions regarding general medical history (58 questions), dental history (40 questions), and general passport data. The literature data reflecting the relationship of dental and organ pathologies, as well as dental clinical manifestations in various general somatic diseases or while taking various drugs are presented. Results. From 2018 to 2019 a survey of 100 patients at the dental reception was conducted. The results of the application of this developed questionnaire «Health History» are given. It is seen that diseases of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine, neuro-muscular disorders, as well as allergic reactions were the most frequently identified. 24% of respondents put marks on regular intake of drugs. Risk factors in different general somatic states were discovered and systematized. Conclusions. Undoubtedly, data from medical and dental history, obtained from the developed questionnaire help to optimize dental treatment. The questionnaire reduces the time and complexity of verbal examination of the patient at the reception and the dentist receives the most detailed information about the patients health. The application of the developed questionnaire allows the doctor to get an opinion about the peculiarities of the health of a particular patient, helps to identify the relationship between somatic health and dental pathology, to determine and to select the best methods of diagnosis and treatment regimens of the patient.
