Abstract

Angioplasty is an excellent therapy for coronary artery disease. Theaimofthestudy:analyzing some echocardiographic parameters before and after revascularization. Materialsandmethods:Thisisaprospectiveobservationalstudyover14months,involving100 cases with stable coronary artery disease with known coronary anatomy, admitted to the cardiology department Mohammed VI of Marrakech for a planned coronary angioplasty. An echocardiogramwasperformedtoevaluatecertainparametersofmyocardialfunctionforthese patientsbeforeangioplasty,7daysand3monthsaftertheintervention. Results:The average age was 59, 45 +/- 8 years. Echocardiographywasperformedforallourpatientsbeforeandaftersevendaysofangioplasty and for 93 patients 3 months after angioplasty. The mean EF was 49.12% +/- 11, 86 vs54.97 +/- 11.26 (p = 0.001) after 7 days and 55, 41 +/- 11.86 (p = 0, 001) after three months. Conclusion: The improvement of echocardiographic parameters studying myocardial left ventricularfunctionwasdemonstratedinthis study.
