Abstract

Because of constructive and architectural features, domes of churches are remote for firemen divisions. It is necessary to recognize passive fire-prevention protection as a priority kind of fireprevention protection for domes. Such protection is defined by application of means which are put in advance and do not demand additional mobilization during fire extinguishing. The basic functional task of passive fire-prevention protection of object is maintenance of a standard time of counteraction to occurrence of a fire or its delay at an initial stage before arrival of firemen divisions. In Ukraine such specification makes 5 minutes for cities and 12 minutes for countryside. The purpose of the given work is to define a possibility of application of fire-bio-protective impregnating compounds DSA-2 and Neomid 450-1 for passive fire-prevention protection of wooden constructions of churches domes. Researches were effected on a breadboard model of a dome which made of 18 part of its real size with fire loading 8 ÌJm2 . Wooden model were impregnated by compounds DSA-2 and Neomid 450-1 in superficial way. As for a fire-centre we used the standard modeling fire-centre of type 21Â. As for fuel we used gasoline of mark À-92, 4 litres of gasoline were provided with fire-centre burning for (30015) s, and 10 litres of gasoline were provided with fire-centre burning for (72025) s. Tests have shown that the breadboard model processed by compounds DSA-2 maintains burning of the fire-centre of a class B during 720 s. Wooden model was charred and further did not support burning. Wooden model processed by Neomid 450-1 maintains burning of the fire-centre of a class B during 300 s, but after 720 s of fire-centre burning we observed mass burning of wooden model that led to model combustion and its total destruction. As for efficiency criterion of fire protection of wood with application of impregnating compounds it is offered to use ignition temperature of fire-protected wood. Correlation between the offered quality factor of fireproof processing of wood and fire-proving time is revealed at passive fireprevention protection of wooden constructions of churches domes.
