Abstract
Autoimmune polyglandular syndromes (APS) are conditions characterized by the association of two or more organ-specific disorders. Type 2 APS also known as Schmidt's syndrome is defined by the occurrence of Addison's disease with thyroid autoimmune disease andor Type 1 diabetes mellitus. The female-to-male ratio of polyglandular autoimmune syndrome type II is 3-41. Polyglandular autoimmune syndrome type II occurs in the third or fourth decade of life.
