Abstract
Dapsone is widely used in the treatment of leprosy and variety of neutrophilic dermatoses. Dapsone Hypersensitivity Syndrome (DHS) is an idiosyncratic reaction to dapsone and presents with a potentially fatal triad of fever, skin eruption and internal organ involvement.1 . DHS can occur within several days to as late as 6 months after initial exposure to the drug. We report an adolescent male patient who developed Dapsone Hypersensitivity reaction with acute tubulointerstitial nephritis after short course of Dapsone for nodulocystic acne.
