Abstract
The author presents certain results of a sociological study of youth in Eastern Kazakhstan. Sociologists were able to trace changes in life values of young people arising as a result of profound social changes the majority of them lived in for over twenty years. However, the survey has shown that many basic values such as family, culture of interpersonal relations etc. have remained stable in minds and behavior of the majority of young people.
Studies have shown that the system of moral and patriotic education of youth people should be dynamically changed as changes in the spiritual life and social behavior among young people occur.
