Abstract
In this article the directions of influence of tourism on various spheres of life of the local population of the Irkutsk region are classified. It was found that tourism has a negative impact on the environmental, social and economic spheres and directly affects local residents. The analysis of changes in the sphere of public catering due to the increase in tourist flow was carried out.
