Abstract
Gastrointestinal stromal tumours comprises of 1-3 of all GI malignancies. Most common visceral STS. Most commonly seen in the age group of 40-80yrs. Arises from within the wall of gutmainly from INTERSTITIAL CELLS OF CAJAL (involved in GI motility).7 of tumours arise from omentum, mesentry, retroperitoneum (extra intestinal stromal tumour). This case presented as a abdominal mass arising from retroperitoneum and adherent to spleen, pancreas and transverse colon.
