ONYMS IN SLANG DISCOURSE

The article is devoted to the study of onyms-jargonisms. The object of observation is the typology of slang onyms, the reference of correlation of these units. The relevance of the study lies in the need to distinguish jargon onyms in a special class of units of jargon discourse introducing a new language material into the scien- tific circulation, as well as in expanding and updating the dictionary of onyme-jargonisms, studying new forms of development of the perlocutionary effect. The author of the article defines onyms, proposes a classification of onyms – jargonisms, compares them with onyms of literary discourse, and identifies a special class of onyms- nicknames and onyms-nicknames, characteristic of slangy discourse. When studying these units, the included observation method is used. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that onyms of literary discourse vividly express the national picture of the world, and onyms – a picture of the world of subcultures, while jargon onyms have a number of specific features
