Abstract
Brucellosis is one of the most important re-emerging bacterial zoonosis13 that is usually underestimated. The prevention of reemergence requires proper knowledge of the magnitude of the problem in our region. Since human Brucellosis is a multi system disorder presenting with non-specific symptoms, it is often misdiagnosed and underreported. Seroepidemiological survey forms the backbone of the work to study the prevalence of the Brucellosis. So, this study was carried out to reveal true prevalence among population who are at occupational risk as well as in general population without occupational risk, using the serological test IgG ELISA. This study revealed seroprevalence of 14.18 among risk population and 2.24 in general population.
