Abstract
This research is conducted to analyse the Human Resource Management (HRM) practices in Private Cleaning Service Outsourcing Organizations in Lagos State, Nigeria. The research is based on the survey carried out in Lagos State between August 2011 to June 2012. A comparison has been carried out between the selected cleaning companies in the areas of services and Human Resources Management practices. The chosen Cleaning companies were randomly selected. The total number of the cleaning service providers considered for the research was twenty (20) with One hundred and twenty (120) respondents. The overall findings of this research indicate that there are significant differences in HRM practices from one company to the other in the industry and unprofessional HR practices are prevalent when compared to other non-cleaning service organizations in the State.
