Abstract
Anaerobic meningitis is rare in children. It is extremely rare in those without risk factors. We report a case of anaerobic meningitis and cerebellar abscess with Peptostreptococcus magnus in an 8 year old girl with no apparent risk factors. The patient had complete recovery without neurological sequelae after appropriate surgical intervention and adequate treatment with meropenem and penicillin G.
