Applications of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors in the Industry

Industrial Revolutions marked periods of exponential growth in the industrial sector. Among the technologies immersed in this area is fiber optics, which was initially used in the telecommunications industry, but is currently present in several industrial sectors. More specifically, this work addresses its applications in Instrumentation associated with the concept of Bragg grids. In this paper is published a brief introduction to fiber Bragg gratings (FBG), aiming to present an analysis of the most recent articles related to the use of fiber Bragg grating in industrial sensors. We selected 19 papers to show the results and the positive and negative data of this technology. Although it is a promising technology, it still needs standardization with the conventional industry environment.
