Abstract
To preserve the biodiversity of cultivated plants and their wild ancestors, botanical gardens and various genetic banks are created. There, varieties and plant species can be maintained in an unchanged state. At this stage of development of science, one of the most advanced methods for the preservation of plant genotypes is the method of cultivation on an artificial nutrient medium in vitro, and the method of cryopreservation. But these methods need optimization for each individual plant species. The relevance of the work is to study the viability of red currant explants on various nutrient media, as well as the analysis of postcryogenic regeneration after cryo-freezing by the vitrification method in order to select the optimal methods for this culture.
