Abstract
This article describes an experiment that resulted in the dependence of the air velocity distribution on the angle of the guide shield. The main problem of tower-type coolers is insufficient air distribution, as a result of which the efficiency of evaporative cooling decreases. The aim of the work is to develop the design of the guideboard, which will increase the air velocity inside the cooling tower. As a result of the work, the optimum angle (70 degrees) of the rotary shield was obtained which allowed to achieve the highest air velocity inside the layout.
