School subject mathematics is considered one of the most difficult to study and requires special attention. The article deals with the General methods of work on the text problem of movement. Describes the types of tasks on the movement in the water that meet in the school textbooks of mathematics, namely the problem on the motion in stagnant water, the flow and against the flow of the river.
