POSTPARTUM UPPER EXTREMITY VENOUS THROMBOSIS AND SUPERIOR VENACAVA THROMBOSIS IN ASSOCIATION WITH SLE AND SECONDARY APLA - A CASE REPORT

Abstract
We report an unusual case of upper extremity venous thrombosis, internal jugular vein and superior venacava thrombosis in a 24 year old female who presented with complaints of facial puffiness , swelling of neck , blurring of vision , swelling of left upper limb in her post partum period ( 30 days after delivery ). Diagnosis was proven by doppler ultrasonographic examination and MRI Venogram . On evaluation she was found to be a case of systemic lupus erythematosis with secondary APLA , which is a risk factor for thrombosis.
