Abstract

Epithelial ovarian cancer is the most common ovarian malignancy. More than 80 of epithelial ovarian cancer found in postmenopausal women. Peak incidence of invasive epithelial ovarian cancer is at 56 to 60 years of age. These cancers are relatively uncommon in women younger than age 45. Fewer than 1 of epithelial ovarian cancers occur before the age of 21 years, with two thirds of ovarian malignancies in such patients being germ cell tumour.
