Abstract
The purpose of the review is to provide an analysis of current scientific information on changes in the composition of the ductal secretion of the pancreas in chronic alcoholic pancreatitis. It has been shown that the toxic effect of alcohol at the cellular level is manifested primarily by the insufficient secretion of water and carbonates by the cells of small ducts. The crucial role of dysfunction of CFTR channels in these disorders is considered. Possible mechanisms of participation of trypsin, lactoferrin, lithostatine and calcium in precipitation and stone formation are discussed.
