Abstract
The scope of this research is oriented to estimate an equation through which results can be correlated between California Bearing Ratio (CBR) and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), for the case of subgrade soils of fine nature grouped within the Unified Soil Classification System as high compressibility clays (CH). To this end, 20 sites located within the urban road network of Sincelejo city, in northern Colombia, were chosen to carry out in-situ tests with DCP and where unaltered samples were also taken for laboratory CBR estimation. Based on this data, plot diagrams and correlation curves were designed according to DCP and CBR values for 0.1", 0.2" and minimum CBR; resulting in determination coefficients of 73%, 83% and 82%, respectively
