Abstract

Design of reinforced concrete column method is generally using interaction diagram which depend on strengh the concrete and strength of the steel. Especially strenght of the steel only several types which very limited. While in the market, strenght of the steel very varied. Therefore using another method is needed, namely using non-linear iteration method. The non-iteration method which will be applied to the equilibrium equations of normal force and the equilibrium moment. Where the quilibrium equations should be change into new variation namely . The cross section of the equilibrium normal force and the equilibrium moment the is point satisfy of the two the curve. The application of this method is more suitable to use a computer, for example the fotran program . The case study indicates that the nonlinear iteration method can be used as method of designing reinforced concrete column
