Abstract
Movement activity is one of the criteria for a healthy lifestyle, which determines the health state and life expectancy. The increasing rate of decline in the level of physical development, readyness and health of student youth in Ukraine is now becoming critical. The reasons for the low physical fitness of the student youth and the deterioration of their health are insufficient attention to the issues of physical education in families, secondary schools, vocational educational institutions and higher education institutions. The deterioration of students health is also affected by high mental stress, high intensity of the educational process based on the predominance of static workloads. This article reflects the level of motor activity of students of the first year of medical faculty of Vinnitsa National Medical University. 230 practically healthy students (140 girls and 90 boys) aged 17 to 22 were questioned for this purpose. During the questionnaire, students were asked to answer ques-tions about daily motor activity, to determine its duration in hours per day, which classes students prefer in their free time. The studies were conducted on subjective indi-cators, so they characterize only the general trend of the level of physical activity among medical students. The respondents are divided into two groups: the first group includes medical students living in Vinnitsa 93 persons (40%), among them 52 girls (55.9%) and 41 boys (44.1%), and the second group - students from Vinnytsia region in the number of 137 people (60%), respectively 88 girls - (64.2%) and 49 boys - (35.8%). The survey found that 4 young men (2%) play sports; 54 students (23.5%) do exercises; 102 students go for daily walks - (44.5%); sedentary lifestyle is led by a large proportion of students - 70 people (30%). Physical activity is different among boys and girls. In particular, there are no professional female athletes in the study group, and only 24 female students (17%) exercise, un-like boys, where there are 4 professional male athletes and 30 people (33%) find the time and desire to exercise. Motor activity in 50 students(22%) is less than 1 hour a day, 1-2 hours a day - 91 people (39.5%), 2-3 hours a day - 59 people (25.5%), 3 -4 hours a day - 23 (10%), more than 4 hours a day - 7 people (3%). During breaks, 104 students (45%) are usually preparing for the next class, 101 people (44%) are resting passively and 25 boys and girls (11%) are resting actively. During their free time, students watch television, surf the Internet - 105 people (45.7%); drawing, knitting, board games - 43 people (18.6%); scientific circles - 13 people (5.7%); 11 students (4.8%) work by the specialty and 58 boys and girls (25.2%) prefer sports activities. Hypodynamia is more common among boys and girls who have come to study from Vinnytsia region. Consequently, low motor activity among medi-cal students was detected. That is why it is necessary to pay great attention to the educational processes, inform students of a culture of healthy lifestyle with the vector to motor activity increasement. In order to cope with stress, the student must turn his energy into a positive form of activity, doing what gives the opportunity to relieve emotional tension, namely sports. Systematic exercise, compliance with proper motor and hygiene regimen are the most effective means of preventing many diseases and maintaining an adequate level of performance of the body.
