Abstract
A mobile Ad-hoc network is a self organized infrastructure less network which has a collection of mobile nodes. Mobile nodes are used to communicate information with the help of protocol. As mobile networks are vulnerable against different types of attacks like black hole, warm hole attack etc. In this paper we investigate the effect of black hole attack, warm hole attack that uses a AODV protocol and proposes a solution with Secure AODV protocol. We first create a base wireless sensor network in which mobile nodes use AODV routing protocol and transfer packets from one node to another node, then an implement attack black hole and warm hole is created in the same manet to measure throughput, packet delivery ratio and delay of attacker implemented network. A Secure AODV with security mechanism to avoid the implemented attack and transfer packets to measure throughput, packet delivery ratio and delay of security implemented network. At last we compare the performance of AODV implemented network and secure AODV implemented network for a Black hole and Warm Hole attack with graphs.
