Abstract
With the results presented in this paper the primary mission of this research has been fulfilled: to provide students and their thesis supervisors with the most important rules, examples, models, proposals, pieces of advice, suggestions… in order to educate and qualify them to become scientifically and professionally competent for fast, successful, good quality and efficient application of professional research as well as to be able to conceive, write and design good quality specialist diploma thesis at specialist graduate professional studies. The paper develops in details various most important features of written assignmenets such as: programmes, term, admission and seminar papers. Special attention has been given to the steps in conceiving, writing and designing specialist diploma thesis. Several topics concerning specialist diploma thesis have been developed in details: notion, mission, important parts, documentation, text designing and defence of specialist diploma thesis. A representative example of a specialist diploma thesis has been given. Specific activities have been listed that should be undertaken by: the Ministry of Science and Education, Council and Agency for Higher Education, Universities, Polytechnics and the teachers at Polytechnics and their students to develop scientific and professional competence of the teachers and students of polytechnics and consequently the quality of their specialist diploma thesis.
