Abstract
The present study aims to identify the level of social insurance culture awareness among Omanis. It also aims to identify appropriate smart solutions to enhance social insurance culture awareness in the Omani community in the light of the National Strategy for Innovation. The study applies a mixed investigation approach. A questionnaire of social insurance culture awareness is distributed to a cluster random sample of 900 insured (579 males, 350 females); their average age is 33 years. Then focus group discussions were held with (7) experts on the fields of social insurance, media, marketing and innovation. The results of the study show that the level of total awareness of the social insurance culture of the insured is moderate, while awareness of the legislation and provisions of the Social Insurance Law is low. The results also show statistically significant differences among the insured in the level of awareness of the legislation and provisions of the Social Insurance Law in favour of females. There are also statistically significant differences between the insured in the level of awareness of the media activities according to the variables of age and education level.
