Abstract
The presented article is the result of processing the author's speech at a philosophical seminar in Nizhni Novgorod. In his thoughts the author relies on the ideas formulated in the monograph “Ego-media. Socio-philosophical Touches to the History of Television”. Television creates a special technical reality that begins to affect the subjective side of human life. As a result, the medium, which has traditionally been considered a neutral mediator, is now itself becoming the subject of a communicative action. Television technologies have already reached the limit of perfection, as well as the limits of human physiology. At the same time, the human consciousness has not been totally subordinated.
