Abstract
Radial head fractures are divided into stable and unstable fractures. Most fractures of the radial head are stable undisplaced or minimally displaced partial fractures and managed conservatively. Unstable fractures are displaced, mobile and are associated with other elbow fractures or ligament injuries. Restoration of radiocapitellar contact by replacement of the fractured head is necessary to prevent subluxation or dislocation of the elbow.
