Abstract
Pes cavovarus, the most common type of pes cavus, is seen primarily in neuromuscular disorders and in cases of unknown aetiology, conventionally termed as Idiopathic. Pes cavovarus presents with the calcaneus in varus, the first metatarsal plantarflexed and a claw-toe deformity. We report an uncommon presentation of painful Idiopathic pes cavovarus deformity from our institution with complete pain relief after left foot plantar fascia release, midtarsal closing dorsal wedge osteotomy done by Coles method provided effective correction of pes cavus, complete pain relief and it has improved left foot range of motion which was disabiling the activities of daily living.
