Abstract
The investment property is own or rented on the terms of financial rent land plots, buildings, constructions which are on the land which are used for receiving rent payments and (or) a capital gain. The issues of recognition, assessment and disclosure of information on investment property in the financial statements are now rather significant therefore they are investigated in works of many domestic and foreign authors. The objective of the article is to define criteria of recognition and consider features of accounting investment property at initial and fair value according to provisions of IFRS (IAS) 40 "Investment property".
