Abstract
Sentences are consisted of a variety of elements such as subjects, verbs and objects. Object is an essential element for the sentences built up by transitive verbs, because object is the element that is affected by the verb committed by the subject in a sentence. When there is no object affected by the transitive verb committed by the subject, there will naturally be a mistake. Besides, there will be deficiency of meaning in a sentence which doesn't have an object, and the interlocutor will not completely understand the message that is thought to be contained. That kind of wrong expressions, which are regarded as faulty sentences in Turkish, can be seen abundantly in Quran translations. It will be useful to analyze that kind of expressions, which cause the meaning to be faulty or sketchy in Quran translations, by examples. We hope that the attention of those who may concern will be attracted upon this topic, thereby paving the way for removing the faulty expressions that cause object mistakes from the Quran translations.
