Abstract
For the first time the issue of the article is the manuscript heritage of the national writer and transla- tor of the Republic of Altai Shatra Pepishevich Shatinov (1938-2009). This aspect in literary criticism of the Turkic people of Siberia was not considered, the exception is the Yakut literary studies. The knowledge of the Sh. Shatinov's personal archive allowed to discover in a new light his biography and creative heritage. During the lifetime, he was published rarely. The manuscripts, autobiographies, memoirs that were found in his personal archive are needed to be studied. Their publication will interest not only literary critics, but also linguists.
