Methods and Techniques to be Used in Religious Education According to Ibn Sahnun and Zernuci

Abstract
In order to examine when religious education began in Islamic societies and how it was carried out, the works and methods of scholars, who could be called first-period religious educators, should be examined. This kind of research is important in terms of comparing the understanding and methods of old religious education with the contemporary ones. In this study, firstly Ibn Sahnun's perspective on education, his work in the field of education, the methods and techniques he wants to useand the recommendations for students and instructors were evaluated. Then Zernuci's, a scholar who came to him about three centuries later, understanding of religious education, his work on the subject, his approach to students and teachers were examined and evaluated in terms of teaching methods and techniques. This comparison made it possible to determine whether there were any differences in the attitudes, behaviors and thoughts of the students by examining whether any changes occurred in the methods, content and styles ofthe two scholars that have 3 hundred years of time slice.Thus, it is aimed to have an idea about the stages of religious education.
