Abstract
This paper discusses the nature of logistics and their evolution based on technological innovation in industry 4.0 environment and seeks to relate to the future logistics transition models. It proposes a typology for logistics operations based on technological innovation in five dimensions. The objective is to show how this typological development can provide a useful approach for the integration of the various aspects of technology as a pillar of sustainability in a company operation.
