Abstract

Background. Detection of pain-free myocardial ischemia, development of ways to treat it, is a topical scientifc and practical task. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of nicorandil on the parameters of endothelial function, the frequency and duration of episodes of pain-free and painful myocardial ischemia in patients with stable angina. Material and methods. We examined 72 men with IHD: SSN FC II, having episodes of pain and pain-free ischemia, concomitant stage 2 hypertension. We determined the presence, time of occurrence, duration of episodes of ischemia according to the results of daily ECG monitoring, as well as the functional state of the endothelium was evaluated by the results of rheovasographic study. Conclusions. Inclusion of patients with IHD and nicorandil pain-free myocardial ischemia in the treatment regimen has a positive result. Nicorandil signifcantly improves the functional state of the endothelium, reduces the number of episodes of painful myocardial ischemia and sharply reduced the number of pain-free ischemia in patients with IHD FC II and concomitant hypertension with long-term administration.
