Social Responsibility from the Perspective of Jordanian Islamic Banks clients

Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the social role of Islamic banks as one of their objectives, by identifying the social services provided by Jordanian Islamic banks to their clients, their responsiveness to the needs of their clients properly, and the crucial difficulties faced them in playing their role. The study population consists of three Jordanian Islamic banks clients; the questionnaires were distributed to a sample of clients of these banks consisting of 33 clients for each bank, and were fully filled. The study concluded that Jordanian Islamic Banks maintain the legitimacy and integrity of transactions submitted to clients fulfilling the requirements of social responsibility towards clients, and work to achieve satisfaction of depositors, and to facilitate the procedures to gain their trust. They also examine the motives and behaviour of clients at different intervals, and pay attention to complaints by depositor's proposals. The study recommended that Islamic banks should apply Sharee'ah standards, forbidden Transactions according to Shareeah, and to comply with rightness in all investment activities, to achieve clients satisfaction, facilitate procedures dealings, study motives and behaviour of clients at different intervals, pay attention to their complaints and suggestions, and offer more services to them. The importance of this study is being one of the first studies concerned with social responsibility from the point of Islamic banks clients.
