Ascorbic acid [vitamin-c] and Caffeic acid, both of which help soothe skin irritation and reduce swelling. [It is effective in preventing the human body against harmful UV radiations.] The gel formulation prepared from the extract of cucumber is effective in preventing the human body against harmful UV radiations. Microbeads are used as ingredients in these products for a variety of purposes. This includes as an abrasive or exfoliates, a bulking agent, for controlled timed release of active ingredients, and to prolong shelf life.
