Abstract

For news organizations to have a good reputation, their news must be trustworthy. news cannot be controlled on behalf of being fast, fake news in social networks and post-truth discourse which especially produced by politicians are factors that threaten journalism and the reputation of news organizations. In this study, the news is defined as the basic means of protecting the reputation of news organizations. News organizations have begun to take some precautions against the current problems. In this paper, measures taken against speed, fake news and post-truth discourse by Reuters, Associated Press (AP), Agence France-Press (AFP), CNN and BBC have been studied. In the study, the relationship between news, which is the product of news organizations, and reputation is discussed. In this study which's objective to present it is not just gathering news but also verifying the news trustworthy is important for today's journalism, it is found that news organizations have the opportunity to prejudice today's fast and information pollution process conditions in favor of themselves. In post-truth and speed era, the news organizations which offer the filtered news will have the opportunity to regain their trustworthy in their target audience.
